     Captain Hon. Edward Spencer Harry Boyle was born on 8 October 1870. He was the son of Henry Bentinck Boyle, 5th Earl of Shannon and Julia Charlotte Cradock-Hartopp. He married Lily Gardner, daughter of William Sanderson Beaumont Gardner, on 12 December 1904. He died on 8 October 1937 at age 67.
     Captain Hon. Edward Spencer Harry Boyle gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.

     Lily Gardner was the daughter of William Sanderson Beaumont Gardner. She married Captain Hon. Edward Spencer Harry Boyle, son of Henry Bentinck Boyle, 5th Earl of Shannon and Julia Charlotte Cradock-Hartopp, on 12 December 1904. She died on 4 April 1953.
     Her married name became Boyle.
