Sir Thomas Barrett-Lennard, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 December 1826.1 He was the son of Thomas Barrett-Lennard and Mary Shedden.1 He married Emma Wood, daughter of Reverend Sir John Page Wood, 2nd Bt. and Emma Caroline Michell, on 18 January 1853.1 He died on 16 January 1919 at age 92.1
Sir Thomas Barrett-Lennard, 2nd Bt. graduated from St. Peter's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Barrett-Lennard, of Belhus, Essex [U.K., 1801] on 25 June 1857.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Essex in 1865.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Monaghan in 1868.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Monaghan in 1900.1
