     Lt.-Cdr. Frederick Augustus Morton Eden was born on 1 May 1904. He is the son of Rowland Frederick Eden and Marie Bernadette Anita Saunders. He married Everil Mary Whiteaway, daughter of John Stephen Lang Whiteaway, on 26 July 1929.
     Lt.-Cdr. Frederick Augustus Morton Eden gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.
