     Arthur Newton Forbes-Gordon was born on 22 January 1844. He married, firstly, Christian Dalrymple, daughter of James Dalrymple, on 22 October 1872. He married, secondly, Adeline Sarah Newton, daughter of Philip Jocelyn Newton and Henrietta Maria Kennedy, on 17 April 1876, they were parents.1 He died on 7 March 1930 at age 86.1
     Arthur Newton Forbes-Gordon held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Rayne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1
