Lionel Michael St. Aubyn was born on 26 February 1878.1 He was the son of John St. Aubyn, 1st Baron St. Levan of St. Michaels Mount and Lady Elizabeth Clementina Townshend.1 He married Lady Mary Theresa Parker, daughter of Albert Edmund Parker, 3rd Earl of Morley and Margaret Holford, on 18 March 1915.1 He died on 17 September 1965 at age 87.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1900 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Hon. Attaché between 1904 and 1908.1 He held the office of Equerry to HRH the Duchess of Albany between 1910 and 1922.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Order of Dannebrog.1 He was awarded the Commander, Order of the Oaken Crown Luxemburg.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1919.1
