     Lt.-Col. George Trevor Roper Cook was born on 11 August 1877. He was the son of George Ward Cook and Clementina Hadow Trevor-Roper. He married Alice Dorman, daughter of Sir Arthur John Dorman, 1st Bt. and Clara Share Lockwood, on 21 October 1902.1 He died on 26 March 1918 at age 40, killed in action.1
     Lt.-Col. George Trevor Roper Cook was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 20th Hussars.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Alice Dorman is the daughter of Sir Arthur John Dorman, 1st Bt. and Clara Share Lockwood.2 She married Lt.-Col. George Trevor Roper Cook, son of George Ward Cook and Clementina Hadow Trevor-Roper, on 21 October 1902.1 She died on 3 April 1932.1
     From 21 October 1902, her married name became Cook.
