     Rear Admiral Edward Grey Hulton was born on 1 August 1845.1 He was the son of William Ford Hulton and Georgiana Lister-Kaye.1 He married Louisa Cannon, daughter of W. W. Cannon, on 28 June 1876.1 He died on 19 January 1923 at age 77.1
     He was awarded the Silver Medal of Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society in 1873.1 He fought in the Ashanti War in 1873.1 He was awarded the Bronze Medal of Royal Humane Society in 1874.1 He fought in the Egyptian War in 1882.1 He fought in the Sudan Campaign in 1884.1
