     Captain William Gerard Walmesley was born on 2 July 1841.1 He was the son of William Gerard Walmesley and Caroline de Trafford.1 He married Augusta Gordon, daughter of Major Lord Henry Gordon and Louisa Payne, on 21 July 1869. He died on 2 January 1877 at age 35.
