Sir Pyers Mostyn, 8th Bt. was born on 27 September 1811. He was the son of Sir Edward Mostyn, 7th Bt. and Frances Blundell. He married Hon. Frances Georgiana Fraser, daughter of Thomas Alexander Fraser, 12th Baron Lovat and Charlotte Georgina Stafford-Jerningham, on 9 May 1844. He died on 14 May 1882 at age 70.
