     Christopher Magnay was born on 6 October 1767.1 He was the son of John Magnay and Ann Liddell.1 He married, firstly, Jane Smith, daughter of Reverend James Smith.1 He married, secondly, Harriet Burdon, daughter of John Burdon, in 1806.1 He died on 11 September 1860 at age 92.1
     He held the office of Sheriff of London in 1813.1 He lived at Manor House, Wandsworth, Surrey, England.1
