     Everard Aloysius Lisle March Phillipps, V.C. was born on 28 May 1835.1 He was the son of Ambrose Lisle March Phillipps de Lisle and Laura Maria Clifford.1 He died on 17 September 1857 at age 22 at Delhi, India, killed in action.1
     Everard Aloysius Lisle March Phillipps, V.C. gained the rank of officer in the service of the 60th Rifles.1 He fought in the Indian Mutiny.1 He was decorated with the award of Victoria Cross (V.C.) (posthumously). He was recommended for the Victoria Cross, had he survived. It was eventually presented to his brother Edwin in 1907.1
