     Captain Hon. Ranulph Edward Montague Mostyn was born on 16 June 1861. He was the son of Major Hon. George Charles Mostyn and Mary Monk. He married Caroline Blanche Melbourne, daughter of Major William Fiske Melbourne, on 3 April 1888. He died on 31 August 1898 at age 37.

     Caroline Blanche Melbourne was the daughter of Major William Fiske Melbourne. She married Captain Hon. Ranulph Edward Montague Mostyn, son of Major Hon. George Charles Mostyn and Mary Monk, on 3 April 1888. She died in 1943.
     Her married name became Mostyn.
