     Major Sir David Henry Brassey, 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe was born on 16 September 1932.2 He is the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Bernard Thomas Brassey, 2nd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe and Crystal Gloria Gore.1 He married, firstly, Myrna Elizabeth Baskervyle-Glegg, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Baskervyle-Glegg and Ethne Woollan, on 15 October 1958.1 He married, secondly, Caroline Evill, daughter of Lt.-Col. Godfrey Ariel Evill and Nester Herbert, on 17 October 1978.2
     Major Sir David Henry Brassey, 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Grenadier Guards.3 He retired from the military in 1967.3 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Brassey [U.K., 1922] on 28 June 1967.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe, of Apethorpe, co.
