     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Life Guards.1

     Commandant Eric R. Miville was the son of Rodolphe J. Miville-Burckhardt.1 He married Edwina Gillian de Vere Drummond, daughter of George Henry de Vere Drummond and Helena Kathleen Holt, on 29 July 1952.1 He died on 30 March 1967.1
     He was decorated with the award of the Legion of Honour.1 He was decorated with the award of the Croix de Guerre.1 He gained the rank of Commandant in the service of the French Foreign Legion.1 He gained the rank of Commandant in the service of the Swiss Cavalry.1

John Jacob Astor, 1st Baron Astor of Hever and Lady Violet Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound.1 He married, firstly, Diana Kathleen de Vere Drummond, daughter of George Henry de Vere Drummond and Helena Kathleen Holt, on 19 July 1950.1 He married, secondly, Penelope Eve Bradford, daughter of Commander George Francis Norton Bradford, in 1982.1 He died on 27 December 1987 at age 64.1,3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in 1942 in the service of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1942 and 1946.1 He held the office of County Councillor for Berkshire in 1953.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Newbury between 1964 and 1974.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary in 1970, to the Minister of Overseas Development.1
