Captain Sir Montague Aubrey Rowley Cholmeley, 4th Bt. was born on 12 June 1876.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Arthur Henry Cholmeley, 3rd Bt. and Edith Sophia Rowley.1,2 He married Mabel Janetta Waldo-Sibthorp, daughter of Montagu Richard Waldo-Sibthorp, on 18 April 1903.1 He died on 24 December 1914 at age 38, killed in action.1
He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Grenadier Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Cholmeley, of Easton Hall, co. Lincoln [U.K., 1806] on 14 February 1904.1 He fought in the First World War.1
