     Sir Hugh Guy Cubitt was born on 2 July 1928.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Charles Guy Cubitt and Rosamond Mary Edith Cholmeley.1 He married Linda Ishbel Campbell, daughter of Hon. Angus Dudley Campbell and Joan Esther Sybilla Pakenham, on 26 June 1958.1 He died on 6 February 2020 at age 91.2
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1950 in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Korean War between 1950 and 1951.1 He was Flag-Lieutenant to Admiral B. J. S. M.
