     David Bennett was born on 14 September 1927.1 He was the son of Frank Carleton Bennett and Mariella Douglas-Pennant.1 He married Hilary Sheridan Clarke, daughter of Bernard F. Clarke, on 28 August 1959.1 He died in 1988.1
     David Bennett was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1945 in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1

     Ian Douglas-Pennant was born on 21 August 1906. He was the son of Archibald Douglas-Pennant and Gwendoline Fraser. He married Mary Florence Williams, daughter of Major John Williams, on 14 April 1931. He died on 3 March 1941 at age 34, as a result of a motor accident.
