     Sir Charles Edward Coleridge Cave, 4th Bt. was born on 28 February 1927.3 He was the son of Sir Edward Charles Cave, 3rd Bt. and Betty Christabel Gertrude Coleridge.2 He married Mary Elizabeth Gore, daughter of John Francis Gore and Lady Janet Helena Campbell, on 15 June 1957.1 He died on 1 November 1997 at age 70.4
     Sir Charles Edward Coleridge Cave, 4th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1946 and 1948 in the service of the Devonshire Regiment.3 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Cave, of Sidbury Manor, Devon [U.K., 1896] on 4 October 1946.3 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (F.R.I.C.S.).3 He held the office of High Sheriff of Devon in 1969.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Devon in 1972.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Devon in 1977.3
