     James Gordon Lumsden was born on 19 November 1875.1 He was the son of Colonel Henry Lumsden of Pitcaple.1 He married Honoria Adeline Malcolm, daughter of Major Charles Edward Malcolm and Hon. Beatrice Mary Leslie Hore-Ruthven, in December 1916. He died on 18 May 1962 at age 86, without issue.1
