     Lieutenant Ralph John Erskine was born on 17 September 1914. He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Thomas Wilfred Hargreaves John Erskine, 4th Bt. and Magdalen Janet Anstruther. He died on 1 December 1937 at age 23.
     Lieutenant Ralph John Erskine gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.

     Diana Mildred Erskine was born on 12 November 1915. She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Thomas Wilfred Hargreaves John Erskine, 4th Bt. and Magdalen Janet Anstruther. She married Major Nigel Robert Moncrieff Skene, son of Reverend Robert Erskine Skene, on 21 August 1941. She married Major David Grant Buxton, son of Frederick Grant Buxton, on 3 January 1945.
     Her married name became Skene. Her married name became Buxton.

     Major Nigel Robert Moncrieff Skene was the son of Reverend Robert Erskine Skene. He married Diana Mildred Erskine, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Thomas Wilfred Hargreaves John Erskine, 4th Bt. and Magdalen Janet Anstruther, on 21 August 1941. He died in November 1942, killed in action on board H.M.A. Avenger.
     Major Nigel Robert Moncrieff Skene fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Temporary Major in the service of the Royal Marines.
