     Major Charles Angus Moreton Macdonald was born on 22 June 1913.¹ He was the son of John Ronald Moreton Macdonald, 18th of Largie and Daisy Maud Crabbe.¹ He died in March 1942 at age 28, missing, presumed killed in action.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.¹
