     Eleanor Ruth Laird usually went by her middle name of Ruth.1 From 18 July 1964, her married name became Maxwell Macdonald.1

     Major Charles Angus Moreton Macdonald was born on 22 June 1913.1 He was the son of John Ronald Moreton Macdonald of Largie and Daisy Maud Crabbe.1 He died in March 1942 at age 28, missing, presumed killed in action.1
