     Barbara Winifred Papillon was born on 15 December 1905. She is the daughter of Godfrey Keppel Papillon and Jessie Winifred Wilson Paton.1 She married Francis Thomas Bacon, son of Thomas Walter Bacon and Edith Mary Leslie-Melville, on 4 August 1934.1 She died on 11 January 2000 at age 94.1
     From 4 August 1934, her married name became Bacon.1

     Francis Thomas Bacon was born on 21 December 1904.1 He is the son of Thomas Walter Bacon and Edith Mary Leslie-Melville.1 He married Barbara Winifred Papillon, daughter of Godfrey Keppel Papillon and Jessie Winifred Wilson Paton, on 4 August 1934.1 He died in 1992.1
     Francis Thomas Bacon was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1925 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Master of Arts (M.A.) in 1946.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1967.1 He was a consultant on fuel cells to Energy Conservation Ltd, Basingstoke in 1970.1 He was decorated with the award of Churchill Gold Medal of the Society of Engineers in 1972.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1973.1
