     Miriam Katharine Taylor was the daughter of George William Taylor and Elizabeth Emma Geraldine Egerton.1 She married Brigadier Guy Maurice Berkeley Portman, son of Commander Maurice William Portman and Mary Hudson, on 18 October 1922.1 She died on 1 July 1975.1
     Her married name became Portman.

     Brigadier Guy Maurice Berkeley Portman was born on 4 August 1890.1 He was the son of Commander Maurice William Portman and Mary Hudson.1 He married Miriam Katharine Taylor, daughter of George William Taylor and Elizabeth Emma Geraldine Egerton, on 18 October 1922.1 He died on 16 July 1961 at age 70.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was admitted to Inner temple in 1914 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of London.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George VI between 1940 and 1952.1 He was managing director of Allen Harvey and Ross Ltd, bankers.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1952.1
