     Ella Frances Richards was the daughter of Reverend James Richards. She married Reverend Sydney George William Maitland, son of Frederick Henry Maitland, 13th Earl of Lauderdale and Charlotte Sarah Sleigh, on 11 April 1899. She died on 28 February 1949.
     Her married name became Maitland.

     Reverend Sir Alfred Sydney Frederick Maitland, 16th Earl of Lauderdale was born on 17 April 1904. He was the son of Reverend Sydney George William Maitland and Ella Frances Richards. He married, firstly, Norah Mary La Touche, daughter of William Henry La Touche, on 6 August 1938. He married, secondly, Irene Alice May Shipton, daughter of Reverend Charles Percy Shipton, on 4 June 1940. He died in 1968.
     Reverend Sir Alfred Sydney Frederick Maitland, 16th Earl of Lauderdale gained the title of 16th Earl of Lauderdale.

     Norah Mary La Touche was the daughter of William Henry La Touche. She married Reverend Sir Alfred Sydney Frederick Maitland, 16th Earl of Lauderdale, son of Reverend Sydney George William Maitland and Ella Frances Richards, on 6 August 1938. She died on 3 November 1938.
     Her married name became Maitland.

     Patrick Francis Maitland, 17th Earl of Lauderdale gained the title of 17th Earl of Lauderdale.
