     William Macfie was born on 9 May 1840 at Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Robert Macfie of Langhouse and Agnes Fairrie.¹ He married, firstly, Agnes Hamilton Towers on 28 April 1864.¹ He married, secondly, Jane Crawford Allan on 20 March 1867.¹ He died on 8 July 1912 at age 72 at Broughton, Lancashire, England.¹
     He lived at Uplands Hall, Preston, Lancashire, England. He lived at Airds, Argyllshire, Scotland.

     Malcolm George Dyer-Edwardes Leslie, 20th Earl of Rothes was born on 8 February 1902. He was the son of Norman Evelyn Leslie, 19th Earl of Rothes and Lucy Noel Martha Dyer-Edwardes. He married Beryl Violet Dugdale, daughter of Captain James Lionel Dugdale and Maud Violet Woodroffe, on 17 July 1926.² He died in 1975.
     He gained the title of 20th Earl of Rothes.

     Beryl Violet Dugdale was the daughter of Captain James Lionel Dugdale and Maud Violet Woodroffe.³ She married Malcolm George Dyer-Edwardes Leslie, 20th Earl of Rothes, son of Norman Evelyn Leslie, 19th Earl of Rothes and Lucy Noel Martha Dyer-Edwardes, on 17 July 1926.¹ She died in 1994.¹
      Her married name became Leslie.

     Captain James Lionel Dugdale was born on 19 September 1862.¹ He was the son of John Dugdale and Charlotte Mary Artindale.² He married Maud Violet Woodroffe, daughter of George William Plukenett Woodroffe, on 11 December 1894.¹ He died on 17 October 1941 at age 79.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Princess of Wales's Own Yorkshire Hussars Yeomanry Cavalry.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Yorkshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Yorkshire.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1921.¹ He lived at Crathorne Hall, Yam, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Ian Lionel Martin Leslie, 21st Earl of Rothes was born on 10 May 1932. He was the son of Malcolm George Dyer-Edwardes Leslie, 20th Earl of Rothes and Beryl Violet Dugdale. He married Marigold Evans-Bevan, daughter of Sir David Martyn Evans-Bevan, 1st Bt. and Eira Winifred Glanley, on 8 July 1955.² He died on 15 April 2005 at age 72.³
     He gained the title of 21st Earl of Rothes. He lived in 2003 at Tanglewood, West Tytherley, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.²

     Marigold Evans-Bevan was born on 3 November 1934.¹ She is the daughter of Sir David Martyn Evans-Bevan, 1st Bt. and Eira Winifred Glanley.¹ She married Ian Lionel Martin Leslie, 21st Earl of Rothes, son of Malcolm George Dyer-Edwardes Leslie, 20th Earl of Rothes and Beryl Violet Dugdale, on 8 July 1955.¹
      Her married name became Leslie.

     Sir David Martyn Evans-Bevan, 1st Bt. was born on 4 March 1902.¹ He was the son of Evan Evans Bevan and Caroline Thomas.² He married Eira Winifred Glanley, daughter of Sidney Archibald Lloyd Glanley, on 1 October 1929.¹ He died on 9 September 1973 at age 71.¹
     He was also known as David Martin Bevan.¹ He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Leicestershire, England.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Breconshire in 1929.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glamorgan in 1932.¹ He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1935.¹ He held the office of a Development Commissioner between 1936 and 1945.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Glamorgan in 1951.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Evans-Bevan, of Cadoxton-juxta-Neath, co. Glamorgan [U.K.] on 9 July 1958.¹ He was a director of Barclays Bank and Phoenix Assurance.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.).¹

     Eira Winifred Glanley is the daughter of Sidney Archibald Lloyd Glanley. She married Sir David Martyn Evans-Bevan, 1st Bt., son of Evan Evans Bevan and Caroline Thomas, on 1 October 1929.¹
      Her married name became Evans-Bevan. She lived in 2003 at Spring Valley, St. Ouen, Jersey, Channel Islands.¹
