Robert Ward was born on 20 June 1825.1 He was the son of Reverend Bernard John Ward and Isabella Frances Phillipps.1 He married Elizabeth Cockerill, daughter of William Cockerill, on 7 April 1858.1 He died on 16 July 1904 at age 79, without issue.1
Robert Ward graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of County Councillor for Pembrokeshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Sodstone House, Narberth, Pembrokeshire, Wales.1
