He married Marie Clothilde Eugenie Alberte Laetitia Genevieve Bonaparte, Princesse Napoléon, daughter of Napoléon Viictor Jeromé Frédéric Bonaparte, Prince Napoléon and Clémentine Albertine Marie Léopoldine de Belgique, Princesse de Belgique, on 17 October 1938 at London, England. He died on 21 July 1990 at age 98 at Cendrieux, France.
     Comte Serge de Witt gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Russian Imperial Cavalry.
