General Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Harrington was born on 17 March 1753.1 He was the son of William Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Harrington and Lady Caroline Fitzroy.1 He married Jane Fleming, daughter of Sir John Fleming, 1st and last Bt. and Jane Coleman, on 23 May 1779 at London, England.1 He died on 5 September 1829 at age 76.1

Lady Caroline Fitzroy was born on 8 April 1722. She was the daughter of Charles Fitzroy, 2nd Duke of Grafton and Lady Henrietta Somerset.1,2 She married William Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Harrington, son of William Stanhope, 1st Earl of Harrington and Anne Griffith, on 11 August 1746.3 She died on 26 June 1784 at age 62.
