He married Elisabeth Prinzessin von Erbach-Schönberg, daughter of Gustav Ernst Fürst von Erbach-Schönberg and Marie Karoline Prinzessin von Battenberg, on 19 January 1910.      John Walter was born on 8 October 1818 at Printing-House Square, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of John Walter and Mary Smythe.1 He married, firstly, Emily Frances Court, daughter of Major Henry Court, in 1842.1 He married, secondly, Flora MacNab, daughter of James Munro Macnab and Jane Mary Campbell, on 1 January 1861.3 He died on 3 November 1894 at age 76.1 He was buried on 7 November 1894 at St. Catherine's Church, Bear Wood, Wokingham, Berkshire, EnglandG.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1840 with a Bacjelor of Arts (B.A.), 2nd class in Classics.1 He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1843 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1847.1 He was chief proprietor of The Times in 1847.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Nottingham between 1847 and 1859.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Berkshire between 1859 and 1865.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Berkshire between November 1868 and 1885.1 He lived at Bearwood, Berkshire, EnglandG.4

     Emily Frances Court was born on 11 March 1824.1 She was the daughter of Major Henry Court.1 She married John Walter, son of John Walter and Mary Smythe, in 1842.1 She died on 28 April 1858 at age 34.1
     From 1842, her married name became Walter.1

     Ludwig-Christian Otto Gustav Alexander Romanus Prinz zu Stolberg-Wernigerode was born on 30 December 1910 at Rome, ItalyG. He was the son of Friedrich Wilhelm Heinrich Prinz zu Stolberg-Wernigerode and Elisabeth Prinzessin von Erbach-Schönberg. He married Anna Gräfin von Schlitz genannt von Gortz, daughter of Wilhelm Graf von Schlitz genannt von Gortz and Catharina Freiin Riedesel zu Eisenbach, on 5 April 1937 in a civil marriage. They were remarried in a religious ceremony three days later. He died on 12 April 1945 at age 34 at Schönbeck an der Elbe, GermanyG, killed in action.
     He fought in the Second World War.
