John Balston Walter was born on 25 March 1845.1 He was the son of John Walter and Emily Frances Court.1 He died on 24 December 1870 at age 25 at Bear Wood, England, drowned while trying to save two of his brothers and a cousin, who had fallen through the ice while skating.1

Arthur Fraser Walter was born on 12 September 1846.1 He was the son of John Walter and Emily Frances Court.1 He married Henrietta Maria Anson, daughter of Reverend Architel Anson, on 15 October 1872.1 He died on 22 August 1910 at age 63.1
Arthur Fraser Walter held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He was chief proprietor of The Times between 1894 and 1908.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 1st Volunteer Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment.1 He held the office of High Steward of Wokingham.1 He had one other son and two daughters.1
