Lt.-Col. John Johnstone1

     Lt.-Col. John Johnstone was the son of Sir William Johnstone of Westerhall, 2nd Bt. and Henrietta Johnstone.2,3 He married Charlotte van Lore van den Bempdé, daughter of Johan van den Bempden and Temperance Packer, on 1 December 1731 at St. Benet's, Paul's Wharf, London, EnglandG.1,4 He died in 1741 at Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.3 He fought in the Siege of Cartagena de Indias in 1741.1

     Sir John Johnstone of that Ilk was born before 1550.1 He was the son of James Johnstone of Johnstone, younger and Margaret Hamilton.1 He married Margaret Scott, daughter of Sir William Scott of Kirkurd and Buccleuch, younger and Grizel Bethune.1 He died on 5 June 1587.1
     He held the office of Justice-General in 1570.1 He held the office of Warden of the West Marches from 1580 to 1581.1 He held the office of Warden of the West Marches between 1582 and 1585.1 He was appointed Knight in 1584.1 He lived at Johnstone, ScotlandG.1

     Hon. Theresa Parker was born on 29 September 1775.2 She was the daughter of John Parker, 1st Baron Boringdon of Boringdon and Hon. Theresa Robinson.3 She married Hon. George Villiers, son of Thomas Villiers, 1st Earl of Clarendon and Lady Charlotte Capell, on 17 April 1798.1 She died on 12 January 1856 at age 80.1,4 She was buried in January 1856.3
     Her married name became Villiers.

     Sophia Askell Bucknall was born before 1789. She was the daughter of Hon. William Bucknall and Sophia Hoare.1,2 She married Hon. Berkeley Thomas Paget, son of Henry Paget, 1st Earl of Uxbridge and Jane Champagné, on 22 November 1804.1 She died on 18 February 1859.1
     Her married name became Paget.

     Sir William Scott of Kirkurd and Buccleuch, younger was born circa 1525.2 He was the son of Sir Walter Scott, 3rd of Buccleuch and Elizabeth Carmichael.3 He married Grizel Bethune, daughter of Sir John Bethune, 2nd of Creich and Janet Hay, circa 1548.3,2 He died before 19 May 1552.3
     He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 10 September 1547.3 He lived at Branxholm, ScotlandG.
