Sir Thomas Gresley was born circa 1562.2 He was the son of Sir William Gresley and Catherine Aston.3 He married Catherine Walsingham.2 He died in September 1610.1

Sir Robert Stawell Ball was born on 1 July 1840.1 He was the son of Robert Ball and Amelia Gresley Hellicar.1 He married Frances Elizabeth Steele, daughter of William Edward Steele, on 5 August 1868.2 He died on 25 November 1913 at age 73.1
