     He was given the name of Anthony Tomkinson at birth.1 In 1933 his name was legally changed to Anthony Palmer-Tomkinson.1 He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.3

     Sir Herbert Ingram, 3rd Bt. was born on 18 April 1912.2 He was the son of Sir Herbert Ingram, 2nd Bt. and Hilda Vivian Lake.3 He married Jane Lindsay Palmer-Tomkinson, daughter of James Edward Palmer-Tomkinson and Marion Lindsay Smith, on 9 February 1935.2 He died on 3 July 1980 at age 68.2
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.3 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Second World War, and was mentioned in despatches.3 He gained the rank of Major in the Grenadier Guards and Royal Electricial and Mechanical Engineers.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Ingram, of Swineshead Abbey, co. Lincoln [U.K., 1893] on 1 June 1958.1
