     Sir Euan David Vansittart Bowater, 3rd Bt. was born on 9 September 1935.1 He is the son of Sir Noël Vansittart Bowater, 2nd Bt. and Constance Bett.1 He married Susan Mary Humphrey Slater, daughter of A. R. O. Slater, on 17 September 1964.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Bowater, of Friston, Suffolk [U.K., 1939] on 22 January 1984.1 He lived in 2003 at Conifers, St. George's Hill, Weybridge, Surrey, EnglandG.1

     Susan Mary Humphrey Slater is the daughter of A. R. O. Slater.1 She married Sir Euan David Vansittart Bowater, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Noël Vansittart Bowater, 2nd Bt. and Constance Bett, on 17 September 1964.1
     From 17 September 1964, her married name became Bowater.1

Sir Noël Vansittart Bowater, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Noël Vansittart Bowater, 2nd Bt. was born on 25 December 1892.1 He was the son of Major Sir Frank Henry Bowater, 1st Bt. and Ethel Anita Fryar.1 He married Constance Bett, daughter of David Gordon Bett, on 1 February 1921. He died on 22 January 1984 at age 91.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, North Star of Sweden.1 He was awarded the Order of Menelik II of Ethiopia.1 He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bowater, of Friston, Suffolk [U.K., 1939] on 10 November 1947.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1953 and 1954.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1954.1 He became a Master in 1954, Vintner's Company.1 He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.1

William Vansittart Bowater1

     William Vansittart Bowater was born on 15 March 1838.2 He was the son of Thomas Vansittart Bowater and Sarah Davis.2 He married Eliza Jane Davey, daughter of Thomas Davey, on 8 June 1861. He died on 28 April 1907 at age 69.2
     He lived at Bury Hall, Edmonton, London, EnglandG.1

Ethel Anita Fryar1

     Ethel Anita Fryar was the daughter of Mark Lindsay Fryar.1 She married Major Sir Frank Henry Bowater, 1st Bt., son of William Vansittart Bowater and Eliza Jane Davey, on 8 October 1891. She died on 19 December 1945, following an accident.1
     She was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1 From 8 October 1891, her married name became Bowater.1
