     Elizabeth Lodge was the daughter of Francis Lodge.1 She married John Newton, son of Bartholomew Newton and Frances Budds, in 1730, they had other issue in addition to Bartholomew, their eldest son.1
     From 1730, her married name became Newton.1

     Bartholomew Newton was the son of John Newton and Elizabeth Lodge.1 He married Anne Bernard, daughter of Philip Bernard, in 1767.1 He died in 1780.1

     Anne Bernard was the daughter of Philip Bernard.1 She married Bartholomew Newton, son of John Newton and Elizabeth Lodge, in 1767.1
     From 1767, her married name became Newton.1 She brought considerable property in County Carlow to her husband.1

     Colonel John Newton was the son of Bartholomew Newton and Anne Bernard.1 He died after 1806, unmarried.1
     He lived at Benekerry, Carlow, County Carlow, IrelandG.1 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1797.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Carlow Militia.1

     Walter Newton was the son of Colonel Philip Newton and Sarah Westrop.1 He married Anne Jocelyn, daughter of Hon. George Jocelyn and Thomasine Bowen, on 22 March 1817.1 He died on 28 August 1853.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Dunleckney, Bagenalstown, County Carlow, IrelandG, (he rebuilt the house.)1
