     Daniel Walter Thomas Gurney was born on 29 April 1898.2 He was the son of Walter Somerville Gurney and Violet Elizabeth Emily Troubridge.3 He married Charlotte Edith Annette Troubridge, daughter of Admiral Sir Ernest Charles Thomas Troubridge and Edith Mary Duffus, on 14 July 1920.4 He died in 1985 at Petersfield, Hampshire, England.2
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He gained the rank of officer in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.3

     Alfred Grey was born on 7 February 1834.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Hon. Edward Grey and Eliza Innes.2 He married Christina Henrietta Victoria Jones, daughter of Reverend Calvert Richard Jones and Anne Harriet Williams, on 9 June 1859.1 He died on 23 September 1899 at age 65.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Northumberland Militia.1

     From 9 June 1859, her married name became Grey.
