     Charlotte Ellerker was born in 1755 at Risby Park, Risby, Yorkshire, England.² She was the daughter of Eaton Ellerker and Barbara Dixon.^1,2 She married George Townshend, 2nd Marquess Townshend of Raynham, son of Field Marshal George Townshend, 1st Marquess Townshend of Raynham and Charlotte Compton, Baroness Compton, on 24 December 1777.¹ She died on 2 February 1802.¹
     From 24 December 1777, her married name became Townshend.¹ After her marriage, Charlotte Ellerker was styled as Countess of Leicester on 8 May 1784.

     Walter Somerville Gurney was the son of Sir Somerville Arthur Gurney.² He married Violet Elizabeth Emily Troubridge, daughter of Sir Thomas St. Vincent Hope Cochrane Troubridge, 3rd Bt. and Louisa Jane Gurney, on 22 November 1893.³ He died on 1 July 1942.³
