     Sir Frederick Russell Hogg was born on 29 October 1836.2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir James Weir Hogg, 1st Bt. and Mary Claudine Swinton.2 He married, firstly, Emily Eckford, daughter of Lt.-Gen. James Eckford, on 31 October 1857.2 He and Emily Eckford were divorced in 1873.2 He married, secondly, Harriett Venn Dicken, daughter of William Stephens Dicken, on 12 August 1885.2 He died in September 1923 at age 86.2
     He was with the Bengal Civil Service between 1856 and 1889.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.)1 He was Director-General of the Post Office [India] between 1882 and 1889.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.)1

     Charles John Haldane Hogg was born on 9 July 1861.2 He was the son of Sir Frederick Russell Hogg and Emily Eckford.2,1 He married Anne Evelyn Haldane, daughter of Daniel Rutherford Haldane and Charlotte Elizabeth Lowthrop, on 16 December 1892.1 He died on 14 October 1940 at age 79.1
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Artillery Militia.2 He held the office of Postmaster-General [Upper Province India].2
