     Charles Dickson Archibald was born on 31 October 1802 at Truro, Nova Scotia, CanadaG.1 He was the son of Samuel George William Archibald and Elizabeth Dickson.1 He married Bridget Walker, daughter of Myles Walker, on 18 September 1832 at Colton, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He died on 12 September 1868 at age 65 at Kensington, London, EnglandG.1
     He held the office of Member of the Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.) [Nova Scotia] between 1826 and 1830, for Truro.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire.1
