     Rykie Sophia Cloete was the daughter of P. L. Cloete.2 She married Edward Frederick Eliott, son of Sir Daniel Eliott and Georgina Russell, on 7 August 1856.1 She died in 1891.1
     From 7 August 1856, her married name became Eliott.

     Major Lawrence Edward Eliott was born on 3 September 1859.1 He was the son of Edward Frederick Eliott and Rykie Sophia Cloete.2 He married Emily Charlotte Eliott Wood, daughter of Captain J. J. Wood, on 4 July 1898.1 He died on 25 October 1902 at age 43, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army.1

Lt.-Col. Francis Hardinge Eliott1

     Lt.-Col. Francis Hardinge Eliott was born on 1 April 1862.1 He was the son of Edward Frederick Eliott and Rykie Sophia Cloete.2 He married Mary Agnes Wardrop, daughter of Robert Wardrop, in 1900.1 He died on 26 December 1928 at age 66.1
     He fought in the Burmese Expedition between 1888 and 1889.1 He was Commissioner of Irrawaddy Division, Burma between 1911 and 1917.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1915.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.1
