     Alan John Fairbairn Wynne-Eyton was born on 4 January 1878.1 He was the son of Reverend Adam Henderson Fairbairn and Anna Gertrude Fuller Maitland.2 He married Violet Hope Wynne-Eyton, daughter of Major John Hope Wynne-Eyton, on 12 December 1928.1 He died on 14 November 1960 at age 82, without issue.1
     He was given the name of Alan John Fairbairn at birth.1 He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal School of Mines, South Kensington, London, EnglandG.1 On 4 April 1929 his name was legally changed to Alan John Fairbairn Wynne-Eyton by Deed Poll.1 He was a mining engineer.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Flintshire in 1938.1

     Violet Hope Wynne-Eyton is the daughter of Major John Hope Wynne-Eyton.1 She married Alan John Fairbairn Wynne-Eyton, son of Reverend Adam Henderson Fairbairn and Anna Gertrude Fuller Maitland, on 12 December 1928.1
     From 12 December 1928, her married name became Fairbairn. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1930.1
