     Sir David Rainald Lewthwaite, 5th Bt. was born on 26 March 1940.1 He was the son of Sir Rainald Gilfrid Lewthwaite, 4th Bt. and Margaret Elizabeth Edmonds.2 He married Diana Helena Tomkinson, daughter of William Robert Tomkinson and Helen Mary Blane, on 11 October 1969.1 He died on 28 July 2004 at age 64 at Broadgate, Cumbria, England.3
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He lived in 2003 at 49 Ranelagh Grove, London, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Lewthwaite, of Broadgate, Parish of Thwaites, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1927] on 15 April 2003.2 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
