     Mary Challinor was the daughter of William Challinor.2 She married William Lewthwaite, son of John Lewthwaite and Anne Kirkbank, on 11 December 1851.1 She died on 6 October 1904.1
     From 11 December 1851, her married name became Lewthwaite.

     Sir William Lewthwaite, 1st Bt. was born on 29 October 1853.1 He was the son of William Lewthwaite and Mary Challinor.2 He married Helena Jane Challinor, daughter of Charles Challinor, on 16 August 1881.1 He died on 13 December 1927 at age 74.1
     He was educated at Rossall School, Fleetwood, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1876 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cumberland.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cumberland.1 He was created 1st Baronet Lewthwaite, of Broadgate, Parish of Thwaites, co. Cumberland [U.K.] on 26 January 1927.1

     Helena Jane Challinor was the daughter of Charles Challinor.2 She married Sir William Lewthwaite, 1st Bt., son of William Lewthwaite and Mary Challinor, on 16 August 1881.1 She died on 8 February 1934.1
     Stoke-on-Trent.1 She lived Basford Hall.1 Her married name became Lewthwaite. She was Staffordshire (see BLG ) in 1952.1

     Sir William Lewthwaite, 2nd Bt. was born on 20 June 1882.1 He was the son of Sir William Lewthwaite, 1st Bt. and Helena Jane Challinor.2 He married Beryl Mary Stopford Hickman, daughter of Major Stopford Cosby Hickman, on 26 October 1910.1 He died on 13 June 1933 at age 50.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Field Artillery.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cumberland.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Lewthwaite, of Broadgate, Parish of Thwaites, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1927] on 13 December 1927.1
