     Hilda Ethelind Barnes was the daughter of Reverend Jocelyn Barnes.¹ She married Leslie Hay Macnaghten, son of Colonel William Hay Macnaghten and Alice Ellen Brander, on 27 March 1906.¹ She died on 11 December 1973.¹

     Leslie Hay Macnaghten was born on 12 September 1875.¹ He was the son of Colonel William Hay Macnaghten and Alice Ellen Brander.² He married Hilda Ethelind Barnes, daughter of Reverend Jocelyn Barnes, on 27 March 1906.¹ He died on 11 August 1950 at age 74.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He was with the Somaliland Field Force, and was mentioned in despatches in 1920.¹ He was Director of Public Works, Somaliland.¹

     Cyril Jocelyn Gillichrist Macnaghten was born on 31 October 1907.¹ He was the son of Leslie Hay Macnaghten and Hilda Ethelind Barnes.² He married Mary Evelyne Mullens, daughter of G. E. Mullens, on 18 February 1932.¹ He died on 9 June 1943 at age 35, killed in action.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     G. E. Mullens lived at Teddington, Queensland, Australia.¹

     Mary Evelyne Mullens was the daughter of G. E. Mullens.² She married Cyril Jocelyn Gillichrist Macnaghten, son of Leslie Hay Macnaghten and Hilda Ethelind Barnes, on 18 February 1932.¹ She died on 1 January 1954.¹
     From 18 February 1932, her married name became Macnaghten.
