     John Pitcairn was the son of Henry Pitcairn, 15th of Pitcairn and Forthar and Isabella Balfour.1 He married Elspet Ramsay on 20 April 1620 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He died in 1652.1

     Sir Christopher John Louis Joseph Nixon, 3rd Bt. was born on 21 March 1918.1 He was the son of Sir Christopher William Nixon, 2nd Bt. and Louise Clery.2 He married Joan Lucille Mary Brown, daughter of Robert Felix Mervyn Brown, on 26 November 1949.1 He died on 31 January 1978 at age 59, without male issue.1
     He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Nixon, of Roebuck Grove, Milltown, co. Dublin [U.K., 1906] on 21 April 1945.1 He fought in the Palestone Campaign.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Ulster Rifles, attached to the Indian Army.1 He fought in the Korean War between 1950 and 1951, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.1 He was President of the British Association of the Society of Occuputaional Therapists.1
