     She was educated at Loreto Convent School, Nairobi, Kenya.1 She was educated at Nursery School College, Johannesburg, South Africa.1 She was a nursery school manager between 1964 and 1967.1 She was the National Gypsy Liaison Officer for the Save the Children Fund between 1969 and 1994.1 She was secretary of the Gypsy Council.1 She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 2000.1 She lived at 40 Greenford Road, Harrow, Middlesex, England.1

     Mary Pollock Bagehot was born on 10 May 1906.1 She was the daughter of Lieutenant Ernest Bagehot and Ethel Caroline Pollock.2 She died on 13 January 2000 at age 93.1
     She was given the name of Mary Schwann at birth.1 In 1917 her name was legally changed to Mary Bagehot.1

Henry Pollock1

     Henry Pollock was born on 17 February 1826.1 He was the son of Sir Frederick Pollock, 1st Bt. and Frances Rivers.2 He married Amelia Bailey, daughter of Charles Bailey, on 2 February 1860.1 He died on 15 May 1889 at age 63.1
     He held the office of Master of the Supreme Court.1

     Marion Amelia Pollock was the daughter of Henry Pollock and Amelia Bailey.2 She married, firstly, Sir Charles Vernon Boys, son of Reverend Charles Boys, on 15 December 1892.1 She and Sir Charles Vernon Boys were divorced in 1910.1 She married Andrew Russell Forsyth, son of John Forsyth, on 8 December 1910.1 She died in 1920.1
     From 15 December 1892, her married name became Boys.1 From 8 December 1910, her married name became Forsyth.1

     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1
