     Lady Elizabeth Hester Mary Paget was born on 28 October 1916.1 She was the daughter of Charles Henry Alexander Paget, 6th Marquess of Anglesey and Lady Victoria Marjorie Harriet Manners.1 She married Raimund von Hofmannsthal, son of Hugo Laurenz August Hofmann von Hofmannsthal and Gertrud Schlesinger, on 7 June 1939 at Chelsea, London, England.1,3 She died in 1980.2
     Her married name became von Hofmannsthal.

     Elizabeth Shirley Vaughan Morgan usually went by her middle name of Shirley.3 From 16 October 1948, her married name became Paget. She gained the title of Marchioness of Anglesey on 16 October 1948. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1977.3 She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1983.3
