     Michael James Shaughnessy, 4th Baron Shaughnessy was born on 12 November 1946.1 He was the son of William Graham Shaughnessy, 3rd Baron Shaughnessy and Mary Whitley.2 He died in 2007.3
     He lived in 2003 at Flat 35 Philip House, Mortimer Place, London, England.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Shaughnessy, of Montreal, Canada and Ashford, co. Limerick [U.K., 1916] on 22 May 2003.2

     Thomas George Shaughnessy, 1st Baron Shaughnessy was born on 6 October 1853.1 He was the son of Thomas Shaughnessy.2 He married Elizabeth Bridget Nagle, daughter of M. Nagle, on 12 January 1880.1 He died on 10 December 1923 at age 70.3
     He was with Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway in 1868.1 He was with Canadian Pacific Railway between 1882 and 1923.1 He was Vice-President and Director of Canadian Pacific Railway between 1891 and 1899.1 Between 1899 and 1918 President of Canadian Pacific Railway.1,2 He was appointed Knight in 1901.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1907.1 He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.)1 He was created 1st Baron Shaughnessy, of Montreal, Canada and Ashford, co. Limerick [U.K.] on 25 January 1916.2
