James Galbraith, 9th of Culreuch1

     James Galbraith, 9th of Culreuch was the son of Andrew Galbraith, 8th of Culreuch and Margaret Stirling.2 He married Catherine Barclay, daughter of David Barclay, 5th of Ladyland, in February 1547/48.1 He died before October 1575.1
     He held the position of 15th Chief of the Galbraiths from.1 In 1547 he was pardoned for unspecified crimes.1 In 1560 he was by a supporter of the Reformation.1

     Catherine Barclay is the daughter of David Barclay, 5th of Ladyland.2 She married James Galbraith, 9th of Culreuch, son of Andrew Galbraith, 8th of Culreuch and Margaret Stirling, in February 1547/48.1
     From February 1547/48, her married name became Galbraith.

     James Galbraith, 10th of Culcreuch was the son of James Galbraith, 9th of Culreuch and Catherine Barclay.2 He married Margaret Crawfurd, daughter of Hugh Crawfurd of Kilbirnie and Margaret Colquhoun.1 He died circa 1592.1
     He held the position of 16th Chief of the Galbraiths from.1 He held the office of Sheriff-Depute of Dunbartonshire in 1578.1 He also had three daughters.1

     Margaret Crawfurd is the daughter of Hugh Crawfurd of Kilbirnie and Margaret Colquhoun.2,3 She married, firstly, James Galbraith, 10th of Culcreuch, son of James Galbraith, 9th of Culreuch and Catherine Barclay.1 She married, secondly, Sir Aulay Macaulay, 12th of Abercaple before 24 April 1593.1
     Her married name became Galbraith.3

     Robert Galbraith, 11th of Culreuch was the son of James Galbraith, 10th of Culcreuch and Margaret Crawfurd.2 He married Margaret Seton, daughter of James Seton, 5th of Touch, circa 1586.3 He died before 5 February 1642 at Ireland.1
     He held the position of 17th Chief of the Galbraiths from.1 He held the office of Sheriff-Depute of Dunbartonshire in 1597.1 He sold Over Johnstone in 1621.1 In 1624 he alienated Culcreuch and allegedly migrated to Ireland.1 He also had two daughters.1
