     Sir James Cockle was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He held the office of Chief Justice [Queensland].¹

     Frederica Mary Cockle was the daughter of Sir James Cockle.² She married, firstly, W. Cecil Elton Hunt. She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. Reginald Gother Thorold, son of Colonel George Edward Thorold and Alice Alicia Anne Mann, on 19 February 1913.¹ She died on 13 November 1947, without issue.¹
     Her married name became Hunt. From 19 February 1913, her married name became Thorold.

     Annette Julia Grindle was born in 1858 at Bayswater, London, England.¹ She married John Kemp-Welch, son of John Kemp-Welch and Maria Ransford Cooper, in 1884.¹
     From 1884, her married name became Kemp-Welch.¹

     Gerard II Hendrik Wassenberg Graaf van Hamaland was born in 1010.¹ He was the son of Gerard I 'Flamens' Graf von Wassenberg Graaf van Betuwe and Bava van Hamaland.¹ He married Alix von Geldern.¹ He died in 1082.¹

     Captain James Frederick Elton lived at Widcombe, Bath, Somerset, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 40th Regiment.¹

     Alix von Geldern married Gerard II Hendrik Wassenberg Graaf van Hamaland, son of Gerard I 'Flamens' Graf von Wassenberg Graaf van Betuwe and Bava van Hamaland.¹ She died in 1083.¹

     Edith Rhoda Thorold was the daughter of Colonel George Edward Thorold and Alice Alicia Anne Mann.² She married Reverend Edward Pattin Cole on 28 January 1873.¹ She died on 10 February 1925.¹
     From 28 January 1873, her married name became Cole.

     Reverend Edward Pattin Cole married Edith Rhoda Thorold, daughter of Colonel George Edward Thorold and Alice Alicia Anne Mann, on 28 January 1873.¹ He died on 26 October 1926.¹
     He held the office of Canon of Bristol.¹

     Charles Thorold was the son of Reverend George Thorold and Elizabeth Baugh.² He married Sophia Thorold, daughter of Reverend Edward Thorold and Mary Wilson, on 25 May 1830.¹ He died on 3 February 1868.¹
